Uptimeify vs. BetterStack
BetterStack is a serious piece of engineering: monitoring, incident management, on-call and logs in one surface, hosted in Europe. The catch shows up the moment you stop running your own product and start running thirty of someone else's. That's when you pay per responder, add white-label per page, and go looking for the tenant model your portfolio needs.
For agencies and MSPs
- One sub-account per client, cleanly separated, as many as you need
- Your brand on status pages and reports, at no extra cost
- Everyone on your team can take alerts without growing the bill
- Monthly PDF reports with your logo, on autopilot
- One quota for your whole portfolio, no per-client upcharge
For product and engineering teams
- No per-client sub-accounts, your portfolio lives in one organization
- White-label status page available, priced per page on the pricing page
- A responder seat for every person who receives alerts
- No automated reports under your brand
- Modular pricing: base plus add-ons per capability

In short
BetterStack is built for teams who run one product and want to run it well. One organization, one stack, a handful of people on call: at that shape the tooling is mature and the price makes sense. If that's how you work, you have no reason to move.
Your shape is different. You don't run a system, you run a portfolio. Three things change with that. Every client needs their own cleanly separated environment. Every client-facing surface has to carry your brand, not your vendor's. And your price can't grow with every client you sign.
Those three points are where Uptimeify starts. Unlimited sub-accounts, branding at no extra cost, one org-wide quota instead of a per-client fee. Not because BetterStack does this badly, but because it was never built for it.

Where Uptimeify leads
Three things the big platforms solve differently. And that we built for your agency.
Real multi-tenancy instead of one big organization. Every client gets their own sub-account with separated data, unlimited, with no per-client upcharge. Per its own docs, BetterStack offers no per-client sub-accounts: your whole portfolio sits in a single organization. So you can separate clients in the tool the way you separate them on the invoice.
Your brand is included, not an upcharge per page. Status pages on your own domain, PDF reports with your logo, a dashboard without someone else's branding: all in the price. At BetterStack the white-label status page is priced per page on the pricing page, and automated reports under your brand are absent from the docs entirely. Across twenty clients, that's the difference between one line item and twenty.
One quota instead of three dials. Uptimeify bills one org-wide quota that every client shares: 50 monitors for 120 EUR a month, white-label and unlimited sub-accounts included (per our pricing page). No per-client upcharge, and no seat fee for letting someone receive an alert: BetterStack bills per responder seat (29 USD annual, 34 USD monthly per seat, per its pricing page). So you put your junior in the escalation chain because it's right, not because it pencils out.
Where BetterStack wins
No tool wins everywhere. Three points where BetterStack is the better call.
Logs and telemetry in the same product. BetterStack bundles monitoring, incident management and log management in one surface. If you want your logs, metrics and alerts in one place, you get a closed loop here. Uptimeify does no log management.
A generous free tier. The free entry point is genuinely usable, not a demo. For a single project or a first look, it takes you a long way without a card on file.
A mature on-call module. On-call schedules, escalation and incident timelines are finished, well-worn features at BetterStack. At Uptimeify, on-call scheduling plus acknowledgement and timeline are available, but currently in beta.
Frequently asked questions
It rides on three dials at once, and that's the point. BetterStack bills per responder seat (29 USD annual, 34 USD monthly per seat, per its pricing page), the white-label status page is priced per page on top, additional status pages are billed separately, and telemetry is usage-based. On one product, that's manageable. Across thirty clients you're multiplying three line items against each other and you won't know the total until the month closes. Uptimeify has one dial: the quota. 50 monitors cost 120 EUR a month whether they're spread across five clients or thirty, white-label and sub-accounts included (per our pricing page). One number you can price into a care plan before you sell it. Run both pricing pages against your real numbers, it takes ten minutes.
Yes, in one pass over the REST API. Read your monitors out of BetterStack and create them here with POST /api/websites, each carrying the customerId of its sub-account. The one difference from your current setup: what sits in a single organization at BetterStack gets split across one sub-account per client on the way in. Which is exactly the structure you'll want afterwards. Historical measurements don't travel, they stay in your old account. On larger portfolios we'll look at the mapping with you before you start.
In Europe, with no US sub-processors. The platform runs in Frankfurt, and checks come from seven European locations: Falkenstein, Nuremberg, Zurich, Prague, Helsinki, Milan and Warsaw. A DPA is ready to sign. In fairness: EU hosting isn't the differentiator here, BetterStack hosts in Europe too. The difference sits elsewhere on this page.
Nothing. Status pages on your domain, PDF reports with your logo, an SMTP relay on your own domain, no powered-by: included in every quota, for every client. Point status.yourclient.com at us with a CNAME, we issue the certificate automatically. No per-page upcharge, no reseller bundle on request.
No. If logs and telemetry are why you're on BetterStack today, Uptimeify doesn't replace that, and we won't pretend otherwise. Uptimeify covers the lane your clients actually see: reachability, SSL, DNS, servers, synthetic flows, plus status pages and reports under your brand. Plenty of agencies run both, because they're two different jobs.
